Every session in the Onwards & Upwards course contains one or more videos.
Due to the likelihood of limited bandwidth in classroom environments for streaming multiple HD videos, its recommended that teachers enable their session videos while students leave theirs turned off.
By default, videos are off.
Videos Off: Classroom Mode
Typically, this mode is designed for students in a classroom environment. In this situation, teachers are to enable their videos and share their screen on a projector or a large TV.
Please be aware that if videos are disabled at the beginning of a session, they cannot be enabled later. In such cases, users still have the option to navigate to the video manually if needed by selecting the Need Video? button.
The following screen is presented to users rather than the video slide.
Videos On: Individual Mode
This mode is recommended for teachers, small groups or individuals.

Switching Videos On or Off
Please note that the option toggle videos on or off is available only at the beginning of each session. If videos are turned off, users still have the capability to access videos if needed during the session.
See the following instructions.
- Log into the platform as a Teacher or Student.
- Navigate to the Onwards & Upwards course page and select Begin session on the desired session.
- The option to switch videos on or off is presented on the first slide when the session loads.
Click the OFF switch to toggle videos on.
If videos are on, click the ON switch to toggle videos off.
