Enabling Two Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security, making it much harder for someone to access your account without your permission.
2FA is only available for Teacher and Admin user types, and it is highly recommended to have it enabled for enhanced security.
Enabling 2FA
Refer to the following instructions for enabling 2FA on your account.
- Log into the platform as a Teacher or Admin.
- Access your profile by clicking on the profile dropdown and selecting Profile.
- Enable Two Factor Authentication by clicking the Enable button under the Two Factor Authentication section..
- Enter your password, and then click Confirm to proceed..
- Scan the code using an authentication app, such as Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator, enter the code from your app into the browser, and click Confirm.
- Ensure to securely store the eight (8) recovery codes. These can be used later to access your account if your device is lost.
Login with 2FA
Refer to the following instructions for logging into your account using 2FA.
- Access the login page and enter your Email and Password and click Log in.
- Retrieve the code from your authentication app for Inspiring Brighter Futures, enter it into the Code field of your browser, and click Login.
